We’re already big fans of fishmongers Fin and Flounder on Broadway Market so news of a seafood shack opening just around the corner in Netil Market has got us very excited. Fin and Flounder is known for its top quality seafood and for supplying some of London’s best restaurants, and now owner Brendan and his team will be doing food of their own at Bar Flounder. Led by his daughter Ruby, Bar Flounder will be open Thursdays – Sundays and will serve up a menu inspired by dishes created by chef John Javier for his recent pop-up at the fishmongers.
That means you can expect dishes like that salmon tartare with Torres crisps, chipotle prawn burgers, fritto misto, lobster rolls, and turbot tenders, and crab hash browns with avo & fried egg and scallop & bacon butties for brunch at the weekend. It’s not fish without chips, so these will be available on the side alongside deep-fried pickles, with beers, wines and vermouth slushies to wash it all down with.
