Fifty
Chefs, The Hands That Feed London is a photographic project from photographer Katie Wilson that’s been a decade in the making. Of the reason behind the project, Wilson says she was “fascinated by the scars worn with pride on the hands of the chefs I met”. The exhibition show everyone from Yotam Ottelenghi to Ollie Dabbous and it’s not just the famous faces on display; Wilson also wanted to showcase the sous chefs and the kitchen hands that help make London the foodie capital that it has become. Each shot was taken on location- from greasy spoon to Michelin hotspot- and at times, in the moments between services.Proceeds from the sale of prints at the exhibition will be donated to London-based food charity, FareShare which distributes good food that would otherwise be wasted to over 8,000 vulnerable Londoners and more than 75,000 people nationwide.
