After dropping their sixth studio album ‘Commontime’ last month, Field Music share the video for single ‘Disappointed’. Straddling post-punk and pop, the track is quintessentially English talking about how we let ourselves and the people we love down, the duo have managed to mask this depressing subject with an upbeat funky sound, because life goes on, eh?
Of course the video is equally as awkward. Inspired by the bullet time technique used in Ryoichiro Debuchi’s early 1980s films, the video was filmed in a gym in the East End of Sunderland, where the brothers used to play footballs. With a real 80s vibe there’s a lot singing into the camera and more confetti than Coldplay could ever dream of…
