Feed Your Imagination (Literally) at This Dreamworld Café

This summer, Selfridges wants you to eat your dreams. Dolly’s Café on the Lower Ground floor is transforming into the Imagination Café, complete with an afternoon tea menu from Malik Acid and an immersive installation from artist Katie Stout, all inflatable horses, butterflies and snails suspended overhead in the atrium above.

The Wildest Imagination Afternoon Tea includes prawn gilda, beetroot devilled egg and wild mushroom tartlet, a salted olive oil scone with clotted cream and jam, plus a black tea caramel bon bon, lychee gummy, mango choux and cherry dream cake, served with tea or a peach velvet cocktail.

Three non-alcoholic cocktails, made with Three Spirits elixirs, are designed to shift your mood: Social (peach and matcha champagne), Livener (tequila, cherry and Darjeeling highball) and Nightcap (fig leaf, miso and sencha gin sour). There’s also a petit four paired with a matcha foam cocktail, blurring the line between food, dessert and drink.

The Imagination Café anchors Dream On, Selfridges’ summer-long celebration of creativity, which sees the store become a canvas for dreamers with ideas unfolding across windows, installations, pop ups and live appearances. The line-up spans emerging names to internationally acclaimed voices.
