FAMOUS IRISH PUB GIBNEY’S TO OPEN IN LONDON

It’s been open in Dublin for over 80 years and now Gibney’s of Malahide, run by Tony Gibney, is coming to our shores, and just in time for St Patrick’s Day. The celebrated pub is opening in the basement of Richard Corrigan’s Old Street restaurant Daffodil Mulligan, with Tony’s son Cormac heading up the bar and regular comedy and live music nights.

As well as the eight beers on draft, including Gibney’s Stout, the bar will be stocked with 120 Irish whiskies, Irish liqueurs and cocktails like Fall Bloom (Dingle Vodka, Amaro Montenegro, St Germain & lemon) and the Long Way Home (Jameson Black Barrel, Orange Bitters & Poacher’s Ginger Ale).

Richard Corrigan has designed a bar snacks menu, featuring dishes like Durrus cheese toastie with burnt onion & pickled onion, Mangalitza black pudding sando with apple & cucumber pickle and salt chilli chicken with chorizo mayo. That lot should help you soak up all the booze no problem.

Fancy a pint right now? These are the best pubs in London.
