Journey through the past 100 years of Christmas with Tesco as it puts on the feast of the century. The immersive experience is designed to give you a taste of Christmases past, present and future, from 1919 (the year Tesco founder Jack Cohen set up his market stall) through to the Art Deco Era to the swinging sixties to right now.
Flavourology and food historian Tasha Marks have created the 11-course menu, featuring a dish from each decade – think a festive ham terrine from the 30s, a 70s prawn cocktail and an 80s cheese fondue – plus a final one that represents the future of Christmas. And you’ll travel through each decade thanks to some light and projection wizardry. Tickets for the feast cost £19.19 (pretty great value for an eleven-course dinner) with all the proceeds going to charity.
