has unveiled its Insiders’ Select list of the world’s best hotels for quality and value. The first global ranking of its kind includes customer reviews from around the world. The list comprises the top-rated hotels chosen from Expedia’s portfolio of 123,000 properties worldwide.

The Expedia Insiders’ Select list recognizes a variety of hotels – from small to large and boutique to chain properties. Regardless of size or star rating, the ranking reflects the hotels holidaymakers have identified as consistently delivering excellent service as well as great value and overall experience.

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa, is crowned best UK hotel, ranked 6th in Europe and 11th globally – one of only two British properties to make it into the top 50 worldwide.

The Insiders’ Select list includes properties in 1,022 cities. Thirty percent of these hotels are found in the United States, forty percent are located in Europe, and thirty percent elsewhere in the world. I
