The world’s first zero-waste beauty brand Ethique has arrived in the UK. The New Zealand-based brand, which has been handmaking solid beauty bars since 2012, is projected to save 10 million plastic bottles from manufacture (and therefore from landfill) by 2020. That’s huge as the beauty industry is one of the worst offenders when it comes to single-use packaging.

The range includes hair (shampoo, conditioner and masks), body (cleanser, scrub, moisturiser and deodorant) and face (the SuperStar removes make-up, cleanses and moisturises in one) bars. Everything is vegan, cruelty-free, faritrade and palm-oil free; the sleeves the bars coming in are 100% compostable and recyclable; and they even last up to five times longer than similar bottled products. Zero-waste and more bang for your buck? We like that.
