After Erik Lorincz left the American Bar at The Savoy, where he helped the bar earn the best in the world title in 2017, last year we had expected him to open his own place. Instead he’s heading up the redesigned basement bar, called Kwant, at Mayfair’s Momo, which re-opened this spring after a big refurb.
Taking inspo from the restaurant above, Kwant has North African and tropical design touches mixed in with the look of a gentleman’s drawing room. The drinks list features 24 cocktails, like the Kwant (gin, St Germain, grapefruit juice and matcha tea on tap), the Bellshot (vodka, champagne and mushroom consomme) and the Stafilia (Metaxa,fermented grape cordial, clear apple and soda water), plus five non-alc ones, and a selection of classics. If you’re into your cocktails, get Kwant on your list.
