EMILE TO OPEN IN SHOREDITCH

First it was tasting menu concept No Idea that was popping up at the old Rok Shoreditch site and now Emile is moving in. The wine bar and restaurant is run by Damien Clisby (ex-Petersham Nurseries) and Nick Gibson (Drapers Arms), who’ll be taking care of the food and the wine respectively, and the pair will be there for six months with Emile opening Tuesday – Saturday.

Damian’s menu will change daily but you can expect dishes like potato and butter ravioli with porcini; celeriac with cavolo nero and apple; pork rib with anchovy and capers; and chocolate with hazelnuts and olive oil. He’ll also be cooking up a sharing, family-style lunch every other Sunday from 27th October. Nick’s wine list will feature mostly Old World bottles with accessible pricing as well as by the glass options.
