ElvenParis are kicking off new season in style with indie IT girl Solange Knowles fronting their SS15 campaign ‘Sharp Sharp’. Alongside former front man, Christopher Owens from the band Girls, Knowles is adding some serious cool to the Parisian prêt-à-porter brand. Since its launch in 2003, Eleven Paris has grown in to a coveted label for the demanding international fashion pack.
With a heightened sense of modern creativity and ultra-contemporary style, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection is inspired by the South African slang phrase ‘Sharp, Sharp’ which translates into ‘Full agreement and approval.’ And we definitely approve of the collection. Renowned for their social campaigns, bringing together iconic rock pairings and superstar photographers, Eleven Paris asked Kim Jakobsen to shoot Knowles and Owens.
Dan Cohen, Eleven Paris co-founder says of the campaign “After the global celebrity Kate Moss, we wanted spokesmodels who would represent another facet of Eleven Paris, one that is constantly on the lookout for emerging creative movements and which has designed to the rhythm of indie music since 2003…For me, Solange and Christopher as a pair are the perfect illustration of this.”
Inspired by the ever changing, born free generation of Johannesburg, bright colours and Aztec prints adorn oversized sweats and baseball tees. Sports luxe meets tribal traditions, the collection is the perfect transitional wardrobe into spring.
