One of our fave dim sum spots is expanding out of Chinatown
We love Dumplings’ Legend for its extensive selection of dim sum – especially the spicy pork and spicy crayfish xiao long bao – and soon there’ll be even more dumplings to go around as the restaurant’s founders are opening a second site. As reported by the London Standard, Geoff and Lucas Leong are bringing Love Dumplings’ Legend to Chancery Lane this May, which will be a tech-led, fast-casual version of the original location, with food available to takeaway as well as eat-in.
Plenty of Dumplings’ Legend classics will be on the menu, including xiao long bao, char siu bao and siu mai, as well as dishes like:
- spicy duck dumplings
- kung pao chicken
- mapo tofu
- Hong Kong curry fish balls
- sweet & sour chicken
- curry beef brisket
Love Dumplings’ Legend will also be serving a Hong Kong-inspired breakfast menu, featuring the likes of tea eggs, congee, steamed buns and sausage plates.
They go through about 8000 dumplings a day at the Chinatown restaurant and we reckon this new spot is going to be just as popular.
