an ear shattering sophomore album and massive UK tour under their belts you could forgive Derbyshire’s Drenge for wanting to take a nice break in the country…but it seems the only rural living that will be going on any time soon is that in the video for recently reveled single ‘Running Wild’ and it certainly doesn’t look like a relaxing break either.

Based on Gideon Koppel’s ‘Sleep Furiously’, Michelangelo Frammartino’s ‘Le Quattro Volte’ and Ermanno Olmi’s ‘The Tree of Wooden Clogs’ the five minute masterpiece captures the hard working, animal loving souls who keep the countryside moving, giving insight into what farm life really is about. With music as spine tingling as many of the scenes and sounds as sludgy as the some of the wellie trodden landscapes ‘Running Wild’ is powerful yet infectiously dark at the same time.
