Welove a good collaboration, and we love it even more when DM’s are involved. Cue Agyness Deyn’s third venture into the cult brand with her new model muse, Grace Booth, the 16 year-old superstar model, set for much bigger things.
Deyn who usually models the collection has taken a backseat in the directors’ chair and let Grace work the camera this time, for her first ever advertising campaign. It looks like Agyness has found the next big thing and hailing all the way from Bromley!
The shoot was on location in a rather breezy Brighton, and features the two of them larking about. Deyn explains the evolution of her collaborations with the rebellious brand by creating characters…”This season’s character is probably the quiet girl in the bunch whose walls are covered in posters of The Yardbirds, The Smiths and The Who.”
The capsule collection has matured in style and this season features mega houndstooth, demure herringbone and the signature repeat print – the teapot. It’s a modern take on the…mod! Simple shapes are given a punky edge with the mix of prints and textures. It’s all about mix and matching, clashing with conformity, we like it a lot.
Key pieces for us have to be the Army Bt Boot. The classic shape with tea-pot print, which from afar look like snake skin, pretty luxe!! And we adore the Molly jacket, perfect for the cold snap slowly creeping upon us!! The fur collar makes it a perfect A/W 13 wardrobe update.
Check out the collection movie starring both ladies having a hoot on Brighton beach. Although the British weather let us down again, it looked like a super fun shoot to be on, we’re slightly jealous.
