While we’re all out shopping for new winter coats, thousands of Londoners will be going without this winter
So, instead of just shoving your old coat to the back of the wardrobe, never to see daylight again, donate it to WrapUp London. The annual campaign, now in its 15th year, collects unwanted coats and passes them along to charities that support those experiencing homelessness, the elderly, refugees, children living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence. Since 2011, the organisation has donated more than 244,000 coats and it supported 90 project last year alone.
Got a coat you never use anymore in mind? It’s incredibly easy to get involved. To kick off the 2025 campaign, WrapUp will set up drop-off points at Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Waterloo and London Bridge tube stations from 4th – 6th November. Then there’ll be a host of other drop-off locations opening across the city – keep an eye out here to find your nearest one – doing collections until 7th December.
