The Diwali celebrations are starting early at Wembley Park with a huge free festival on 1st October. There’ll be plenty of dancing with performances from Odissi Dancers, the Bollywood Dancers, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and the Dhol Foundation, before a lantern parade goes from the main stage outside the London Designer Outlet down Wembley Park Boulevard and Olympic Way. There’ll be a Diwali disco at Boxpark Wembley and of course, plenty of food will be on offer, including from a stall run by local institution Shayona, known for its pure vegetarian Sattvic cuisine, so you can make a real day of it.
