We’ve rounded up some of our favourite dishes from all the places we’ve eaten this month. The stand out bangers we’d happily go back and eat again and again…and again. If any tickle your fancy, you best get down and try them sharpish, just don’t blame us if the “daily changing menu” has already wiped ’em out!

For a hot minute I was six years old again, taking a break from the ball pit, with the Everything But the Kitchen Sink sundae at Chet’s. Epic.

The prawn and pork fat sui mai dumplings at The Tent (at the end of the universe) should be illegal to share. Gutted I went with other people, lesson learned.

What a gem of a place Townsend is. Tucked into the Whitechapel Gallery, it’s knocking out some seriously impressive food, like these Red Leicester croquettes with pickled walnut ketchup. Two is nowhere near enough.

Wagyu is always gonna be good but this A4 sirloin at Sachi, the Japanese restaurant at Pantechnicon, was beyond buttery, with mustard miso and roasted beetroot making it even more moreish.

Started the year in Rio and whilst there are so many dishes I would eat again, Torresmo – deep fried salty pork belly – was the one I ate the most there. My favourite was at Chanchada Bar alongside a tongue-smacking caipirinha. Take me back.

Everything at Toad Bakery – oh man this place slaps hard. I had the Bear Claw filled with spicy beef and smoked cheddar, Yuzu Jaffa cake, chocolate and orange swirl, pear and custard tart, cheese straw – all shared of course – and took a loaf of their beaut wholemeal sourdough home. Would queue all over again.

Finally got to try Le Relais De Venise for the famous steak frites and I must say, it defo lived up to my expectations. Whatever is in that sauce, it’s addictive; totally rich, silky and comforting. Double portions were a huge welcome too. If you know, you know.

Sichuan Fry, from the legends of Dumpling Shack, is finally here with its crispy chicken sando. Can’t explain how good this is, you just gotta try it. If I could eat this every day, trust me, I would.
