The super-hyped Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung are finally opening their second restaurant in Selfridges. The restaurant was always intended to be a duo, unfortunately, Covid prevented the launch of their second restaurant. Now after months of waiting, the OG spot in Covent Garden finally has a baby brother in the form of a Selfridges restaurant. Din Tai Fung has 160 restaurants worldwide with a Michelin star at their Hong Kong site. Famous for their highly-rated soupy dumplings, it will be a welcome addition to Selfridges restaurant roster.
Din Tai Fung will serve their iconic Xiao long bao in a number of iterations including vegan mushroom, vegetarian, pork and pork and vegetable nestled snugly next to knee-slapping starters like cucumber in spicy sauce, oriental Salad with spicy vinegar dressing, and drunken chicken. After a day running around Selfridges, a hot bowl of soup noodles is going to be exactly what you need.
