DETROIT PIZZA TO OPEN IN SPITALFIELDS

After years of Neapolitan-style pizzas dominating the city, Detroit is finally getting its time to shine. Not only is Four Corners, a new square pizza pop-up from Anthony Falco heading to Rondo La Cave, Detroit Pizza is opening in Spitalfields this December too. The pizza joint has actually been open in town for a while and is relocating from its current Battersea Park home, giving the people of East the chance to get a pizz’a this pie.

Detroit Pizza use authentic Detroit blue steel pans to bake their pizzas – that’s what gives the pies the soft and airy crust, crispy exterior and caramelised cheese edges. The toppings are no less impressive, with the likes of the New Forest (American cheese blend, cacio e pepe white sauce, mushrooms, baby potatoes, rosemary & parmesan), the Cadillac (American cheese blend, pepperoni, smoked bacon, banana peppers, honey, tomato sauce, parsley & parmesan) and the Bacon Double Cheeseburger (American cheese, Galloway beef, Canadian bacon, pickle, onion, sesame seeds & burger sauce) on the menu. And it’s not just the pies we’ve got our eye on, they also do deep-fried lasagna as a side. Put your hands up for Detroit.

Opens early December 2021
