week we ventured to the iconic Bussey Building for a party that promised to take us to the ‘Next Level’. Mike Skinner helped curate something unique and original for Desperados, which saw us, along with a mass of other party goers smash throw walls and find our way through the twisted and distorted
world where time and static space collide.

With secret rooms and a mass of space to explore the Bussey Building turned into a fun house. Filled with the weird and wonderful; unicorn heads that seemed to float in the dark, the ceiling would spit out paper, secret doors opened revealing walls with encrypted messages inside, projections illuminating instruction onto walls like ‘breakthrough’ paved the way into new territory revealing more surprises and ultimately more fun.

We saw DJ sets from Stanton Warriors, Preditah, Oxide & Neutrino, Mumdance and the main man of the evening Mr Mike Skinner who simply smashed it. From the dark dance like vibes of the floor to the bright blinding lights of the stairs wells leading to unpredictable and new places Desperados Next Level party was more than just your average rave out, the elements which brought interesting new dynamics made it so much more exciting. If you get the chance to go to a Next Level party, we suggest your grab it with both hands and hold on for the ride.

Keep an eye out for future parties on the Desperados Facebook
