Robert Wun launched in 2013 and has shown at OnOff’s London Fashion Week showcase and was commissioned by the Royal Ballet for the Wayne McGregor 10th year anniversary show in November 2016. Known for his unique tailoring and experimenting on innovative forms and materials, championing an ultramodern, clean yet bold aesthetic, we had a chat to the face behind the label…

Who inspired you to get into fashion and set up your own label?

If its about one person, its Alexander Mcqueen. I was obsessed with his work before I even knew what fashion really was, at the grand old age of 10/11 years.

Talk us through your design process.

Nature is always a real trigger and key visual inspiration for my collections. And I tend to contrast organic inspirations with artificial elements and research urban stories to bring a little edge.

The beauty of nature is outstanding, real and unprocessed; there could be a million versions or interpretations from a simple observation of a cloud!
