you need a good old day out of the city, just like when you were younger and your parents would make a picnic and you’d head out to the nearest beach or local theme park….those were the days!

Well we are all for tradition which is why we are introducing our “Daytripper” series, a selection of ideas for Days Out which are within easy distance of the big smoke. First up Legoland…

Legoland is just a 45 minutes drive from London which is a pretty easy car ride, no danger of travel sickness here! So off we popped to check out exactly what Legoland had in store for visitors and we’re not going to lie we LOVED it. The resort is dedicated to kids aged between 3 – 12 but there is plenty for everyone to get involved in.

As well as rides – OK they aren’t adult rides but there are some trains and what not – there are some pretty impressive lego models including a huge one of London which was our favourite, obviously. Other highlights includes the new Altantis Submarine which takes you on an underwater journey with lots of fish to see, it was dare we say it worth the 60 minute wait.

The Star Wars exhibition was also pretty impressive and restaurants weren’t too pricey either, although if you want healthy food you might want to take a picnic. Definitely worth unleashing the inner child for one day, perhaps maybe choose a weekday though when it’s a little less busy.
