a new Indian restaurant in the City called Darbaar which has just opened near Liverpool Street. Abdul Yaseen, who has hopped over the road from Cinnamon Kitchen where he was Head Chef, is behind the new restaurant which will serve high end Indian cuisine inspired by the Royal Courts.

There’s a huge open kitchen which features tandoor clay ovens and a robata grill which is key for many of the dishes. The menu will feature healthy grills, street tapas, spit roasts, biryani and even Naanzas – a bit like an Indian pizza! There’ll also be big signature sharing dishes such as Nawabi Slow Roasted Leg of Lamb, Keralan Shrimp Cocktail and Kid Goat Biryani.

Coming from Cinnamon Kitchen, Abdul certainly knows his stuff and we’re sure this style of Indian restaurant will go down well with the City folks. We look forward to checking it out soon.
