dandy opens in bermondsey

Will it be third time lucky for Dandy? After opening as a pop-up London Fields, before going permanent (and then closing in 2017) in Newington Green, the restaurant is has been reborn again, this time in Bermondsey, after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Dandy Bermondsey has taken over the old Monmouth Coffee site on Maltby Street and has the same casual vibes as before, with a focus on low-intervention wine and seasonal European food. That means you can expect dishes like pumpkin tortellini with onion broth, miso cod with sweet ginger, glazed lamb ribs, and pistachio tart with rose and raspberry as well as the return of some of their popular brunch dishes.

In homage to the new location at one end of the Bermondsey beer mile, Dandy also features a twelve tap bar that’ll showcase local beers and ales, with plans for their own in-house brewery also in the works. Let’s hope this one lasts!
