Community meals project Curry Club, run out of Hackney Chinese Community Services, helps bring people together over a shared meal by having chefs cook up restaurant quality food for the local community and those in need, and operating on a pay-what-you-feel basis. Over the summer its running a BBQ series, and for the August edition Ana Da Costa and Giorgia Laure are doing the food. You’ll need to buy a £5 ticket to reserve your spot, with that money allowing local community members who may not have the money to eat out to come and dine for free, and then on the day you’ll be able to pay-what-you-feel for the food.
