aboard! It’s not every Friday night you find yourself eating pizza on the top deck of a double-decker bus in Peckham, but it’s definitely something you need to add to your list of dos. Allow us to elaborate…

From now until June, the Crust Conductor has set up residency in Peckham to bring pizza, booze and beats to the Saath East. The double-decker is parked up at The Brick Brewery, just round the corner from Peckham Rye Station.

There’s a wood fire oven on the lower deck and seats upstairs, obvs we sat on the back row (cos that’s how we ROLL in Peckham). Served up first were the chorizo dough balls (uh-huh) and some chilli & anchovy bread (you heard us). Then the pizza boxes arrived; thin, crisp and cheesy, we made the right choices in both the “Not So American, But Hot” loaded with salami, mozzarella & jalapeños and the “All Four Seasons in One Day”, complete with proscuitto, porcini mushrooms, artichoke hearts and black olives. There’s beers and ciders to wash it all down with, in-house music (in-bus) and DJ on the (upper) decks. Whoever said eating on public transport was grim ain’t ever met The Crust Conductor…
