After Rambla won it back in 2018, the Croquetas Challenge is back, hosted by the Salt Yard group, and this year the competition is going to be extra fierce as there’ll be four heats before eight go through the grand final at Ember Yard. One heat will be held at a Salt Yard restaurant – Dehesa, Ember Yard, Opera Tavern and Salt Yard – with the host restaurant also taking part in its respective heat.
Other chefs and restaurants competing include Kanishka, Guinea Grill, Scully, Rochelle Canteen, Breddos, Cleveland Arms, Bubbledogs, Galvin Restaurants and last year’s champ Rambla, with more still to be announced. The winning croquetas will appear on the Ember Yard menu for two week afterwards so you’ll be able to get a taste of the champion even if you can’t be there at the final. Tickets for the heats go on sale on 16th August with tickets for the final released on 17th September.
