CREATIVE RESTAURANT GROUP ARE LAUNCHING A NEW SPOT IN MAYFAIR

From the same people behind HUMO, Endo at The Rotunda and SUMI, 20 Berkeley Street will open this spring

Coming soon to Mayfair, 20 Berkeley Street will be a British produce-led restaurant with a menu that embraces seasonality. The spot will be headed up by Executive Chef Ben Orpwood, with the help of Creative Restaurant Group, who’s previously held positions at Maison Estelle, Gordon Ramsay Group, Azumi Group and Caprice Holdings.

As well as closely following the seasons, 20 Berkeley’s á la carte menu will take inspiration from the history of its neighbourhood. Mayfair got its name from the annual event that started off as a livestock fair during the 17th century, progressed into an annual ‘nuisance’ and was eventually abolished. Since the area was of trade and commerce for British farmers all those years ago, 20 Berkeley will celebrate the traditions and crafts that still exist today.

Aside from that, details on the menu are still quite vague, with the focus for now being on acknowledging the trusted suppliers that the restaurant will work with: Wild Harbour, Eaten Alive, Flourish Produce and La Latteria, among others. As for interiors, expect relaxed, light-filled spaces, a dedicated cocktail bar and an open pantry.
