Cosy Up For A Candlelit Screening Of ‘When Harry Met Sally’

Complete with NYC deli menu including THAT rueben sandwich, live jazz and natural wines

If you’re planning your Nora Ephron autumn, this one’s for you. This October, new immersive pop-up Wilderlight Cinema is bringing When Harry Met Sally back to the big screen – though not the IMAX variety (sorry Mr Nolan). This is something much cosier. The Old Timber Store, an intimate venue tucked beneath the railway arches of Maltby Street in Bermondsey, will be filled with candles and fairy lights for a perfectly autumnal screening of the classic film.

A live jazz trio will play the film’s classic Harry Connick Jr. soundtrack as guests arrive and settle in, while a pre-order NYC deli menu offers pastrami on rye for the Harrys in the room and a turkey club with a very particular set of customisation options especially for the Sallys. Every guest gets a bag of popcorn, a can of fruity prebiotic soda and a When Harry Met Sally-themed keepsake to take home, with natural wines from Chez Rapha flowing throughout. Spring for a Sally Albright VIP ticket and you’ll leave with a little something extra.

It’s the first event in what Wilderlight is building into a seasonal London programme, with more screenings of classics like Amélie and The Holiday being teased on their website. With only sixty seats going, this one won’t hang around so secure your spot while you can.
