Multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake is many things but unoriginal ain’t one of them. Latest release ‘The Moss’ is a hysterically catchy fusion of Renaissance style melodies and J Dilla-esque production. The four minute boisterous blend of beats and banjos tells whimiscal stories based on old school fairy tales over synths, loops and old school beats. It sounds like the music that Frodo would be making had he grown up in the hipster part of The Shire or if The Hatter from Alice in Wonderland murdered beats instead of the time, either way it’s seriously addictive so much so Transgressive records have signed the unconventional producer and who could balme them? This track is making the world curiouser and curiouser!
