Kitty Fisher’s is expanding, opening sister restaurant Cora Pearl in Covent Garden this June. Named after another working girl who became a party queen in Paris, the two-floor restaurant will take influence from her glamorous life, with parquet floors, vintage lights and dark textiles. Kitty Fisher’s head chef George Barson is heading up the kitchen with the menu including dishes like leek heart with smoked eel, confit pork belly with smoked quince, brill and devilled crab, and wild strawberry with earl grey ice cream and frozen sablé. As well as an Old World wine list and range of martinis, the cocktail offering will feature drinks such as the Chaine d’Or (gin, quinquina, chartreuse and lime) and the French Pearl (pastis and gin). Sounds like Cora Pearl is going to be a strong addition to the family.
