Forget Spain because the place to be this summer is the Costa del Tottenham, the new outdoor space at The Cause nightclub. The “all-weather tropical industrial paradise” is split into two, the Southside (currently on soft launch) and the Northside (coming soon). The Southside features palm trees, pergolas and private booths; street food from the likes of People’s Burger, Not Another Slice and Club Mexicana; and craft beer, cocktails, a rum bar and a gin station.
As well as themed bottomless brunches and an eight-week open air cabaret in partnership with queer club night Adonis, there’s a packed music programme at Costa del Tottenham. There’s live music on Wednesdays from the likes of Dele Sosimi & Friends and Footshooter; Rinse FM and Engage Audio take charge on alternate Thursdays; on Fridays and Saturdays friends of The Cause are on the decks, with the likes of Voigtmann, Robert James, Eliza Rose, Grainger & Kiara Scuro, Ivan Ejeca, Barely Legal and Matt Jam Lamont all playing; and Sundays are hosted by Recess, Supa Dupa Fly, WetYourSelf’s Jacob Husley & Peter Pixzel, and Sports Banger.
