Take your commute home up a notch by swapping a hot and crowded tube for a boat featuring live music, a live recording of the Nobody Panic podcast and free G&Ts. For two days this October, Gordon’s is running a Thames boat service from Canary Wharf to St George’s Pier in Vauxhall, stopping at key stations along the way before going back east to St Katherine’s Pier, to get you home in style.
As well as the onboard entertainment, you’ll get a comfy seat, some fresh air and a free G&T (the public ferry in NYC has margs on tap and we are all for booze on a boat), which certainly beats being crammed into a tube carriage with someone’s backpack in your face. There’ll be limited walk-up tickets on the day but you’re best off booking to guarantee your spot on the boat.
