COMMUNITY COMFORT COOKBOOK

If, like us, you’re keen to help awareness around BLM stay front and centre and really help make a positive change then here’s another way to support the BAME community. Community Comfort is the new e-cookbook from Caribbean food expert and activist Riaz Phillips that features 100 recipes from British cooks with migrant backgrounds.

The cookbook is bursting with recipes and stories of food and comfort from People of Colour like the queen of baked goods Ravneet Gill, Great British Menu winner James Cochran and Bake Off star Ruby Tandoh, as well as many new less known faces like Yvonne Maxwell and Mary San Pablo. Expect an eclectic collection of dishes – everything from Jamaican Ackee n’ saltfish, Nigerian jollof rice, Japanese dumplings, Thai salads, vegan brunches and plantain ALL WAYS! It’s beautifully shot and available to pre-order now for just a tenner with all proceeds going to, The Majonzi Fund, which raises money to help those families COVID-19 has touched in the Black and Ethnic minority community, to help funeral arrangements, bereavement counsellors and therapists.

COMMUNITY COMFORT compiled by Riaz Phillips is published by Tezata Press in July 2020.  Pre-order here for £10.
