We all know the fun that can be had in the back of a car. But just because you’re a grown up with your own home for that sort of thing now, doesn’t mean the you can’t still have a good time in a good ride.
On the 15th and 16th of March, the Vintage Festival’s Classic Car Boot Sale will be returning to the Southbank centre to remind you exactly why you’re so damn nostalgic for those days (the shopping obviously).
Over 100 traders will be lined up on the banks of the Thames selling vintage fashion, homewares and collectibles from the boots of their vehicles. And these aren’t just any old lemons- from a U.S Navy 1942 Chevrolet Style Master to Ford Mustangs and VW Campervans, there’s plenty for the fellas to eyeball while the ladies peruse the goods.
Engine will be on hand serving up their artisan smoked sausages along with B.O.B’s Lobster, Bleeker St Burgers and a mobile wine bar courtesy of CamperVin. While the musical styling’s of Elle & the Pocket Belles and the Vintage Festival DJ’s will keep you entertained, with tunes spun from the top of a classic red London Routemaster bus.
Tickets are just £4 and can be purchased at the Southbank Centre on the day of the event so get ready to get bootylicious.
