With two Cin Cin restaurants in Brighton & Hove and on the back of a successful home delivery service started during lockdown, founder David Toscano and head chef Jamie Halsall are coming to London and opening a Cin Cin on the old Bonnie Gull site in Fitzrovia, with the 20-seat terrace opening in April and the 20-seat dining room following in May.
The menu for the London site will showcase seasonal Italian food with a mixture of Cin Cin classics and new dishes, including Scottish scallop with San Marzano and smoked chilli, fennel & tapenade butter; chicken Milanese with giardinera salad & wild garlic emulsion; and espresso tart with chocolate & hazelnut crumble and date ice cream. The team plan to have handmade pasta on the menu but it won’t be as much of a focus as the small plates and secondi dishes will be, due to the fact that the site has a smaller kitchen and that London is already full of great pasta restaurants. There’ll be an all-Italian wine and aperitivi list too, so cin cin to that.
