Feeling festive yet? Well this will get you in the mood…we’ve teamed up with WeWork and Rebel Rebel to host a festive wreath making workshop this December in Devonshire Square, so you can decorate your gaff with something homemade. You’ll start with a 12-inch wreath ring of fresh blue pine, which you’ll be able to customise with seasonal foliage like berried ivy, holly and eucalyptus, and dried bits like cinnamon sticks, orange slices, apple, pine cones, lotus heads, sparkly asparagus ferns and Christamassy ribbons. Rebel Rebel will be on hand to show you how to wire on your chosen decorations to the wreath but you have free reign when it comes to the design, and they’ll all be wrapped up at the end so that they’re easy to carry home.
The workshops will be held in two huts in the Square, with six people in each (so twelve in total) for each session, with two sessions running on the night. Tickets are £25, with a fiver of that being donated to Breaking Barriers, which offers training and support for refugees in London to help them secure stable and fulfilling employment. And there’ll be music, food and drinks to really ramp up the festive spirit.
