First it was the Accidentally Wes Anderson pop-up in Hackney and now Brasserie of Light is getting in on the action with a Grand Budapest Hotel-themed Christmas menu. After being welcomed to the restaurant by a doorman and snapping some pics of Pegasus, the 24ft crystal encrusted statue (now flanked by a row of Christmas trees), you can sip on festive cocktails made in collaboration in with Monkey 47 Gin.
Inspired by characters in the Wes Anderson classic, the cocktail list includes the Bell Hop’s Espresso (Monkey 47 Gin, vanilla syrup, Briotette ginger liqueur, espresso, Monin gingerbread & a dash of Five Spice Rum), the Madame D (Monkey 47 Gin, sugar syrup, lemon juice, orange bitters & Graham Beck Rosé) and the Gustave H (Monkey 47 Gin, vanilla syrup, Briotette Manzana, cranberry purée, lemon juice, saffron syrup & cherries). And if you really want to max out on all things Christmas you can tuck into the Run Run Rudolf dessert, a fruit cake with brandy ice cream, milk foam and biscuit antlers.
