Dinnerparties are always a tad bit stressful, with huge pressure to impress your guests with a feast of food, drinks and entertainment. The pressure is even greater at Christmas – a bad dinner can ruin the day – no one likes dry bird. Cooking for more people than at any other point in the year, you’ll also be expected to cook things that you will not have thought about for 12 months. Brussels sprouts? Eugh!
Luckily, The Cookery School is here to save the day offering a one-off course to teach you how to roast the perfect turkey and create home made trimmings that will impress all your guests. The dress rehearsal class is suitable for both passionate foodies and nervous first time cooks, starting with the basics and moving on to more advanced techniques during the one-day course.
During the day, you’ll learn to make the perfect stuffing, cranberry sauce and bread sauce, all if which can be taken home at the end of the session and frozen ahead of the big day. You’ll also learn how to make the ultimate Christmas cake and mince for mince pies, so dessert is in the bag too. What’s more everything you make you then get to eat at the end of the session with some specially selected wines.
