Monsieur Le Duck, the duck-focused restaurant that settled down in Clerkenwell after a successful pop-up in Liverpool Street last year, is going big for Christmas with a duck-tastic festive menu. As well as the confit leg and magret duck breast the restaurant is known for, the menu includes starters of rabbit and duck terrine and pan fried scallops with crispy duck skin, with both a whole crown of roast duck and a duck wellington…erm yes please.
All of that comes with duck fat-finished trimmings including triple cooked roasties, brussel sprouts with lardons, red cabbage, quince and (the very un-French) Yorkshire puddings, and if you’ve still got room there’s classics like creme brulee and tarte aux pommes for dessert. Pair that with a bottle of French wine and you’ve got a duckin’ good Christmas dinner.
