The humanitarian aid charity is coming to Borough Yards
Choose Love has been running a winter pop-up shop for a few years now (last year’s raised more than £1.1 million to support refugees and displaced people around the world), but in 2026 it’s opening a summer one for the very first time. The Summer Shop is coming as a response to the millions of people facing the impact of extreme heat without access to safe shelter, clean water, shade or sun protection.
Opening in Borough Yards from 9th – 28th June, the Summer Shop, designed by Misty Buckley, will give visitors the chance to buy life saving items and services for refugees and displaced people, including sun protection for children, clean water, emergency medical care, safe shelter and search-and-rescue support. There’ll also be a summer merch collection designed by Katharine Hamnett inside, along with a programme of special events. And given the plethora of celeb supporters that Choose Love has, don’t be surprised to some familiar faces behind the tills or DJing in store.
Speaking about the pop-up, Choose Love Co-Founder and CEO Josie Fernandez-Marelli says: “We’re thrilled to be bringing the Choose Love Summer Shop to Borough Yards in June. As temperatures rise, so do the challenges facing refugees and displaced people around the world. Without access to essentials like clean water, shade, and sun protection, the summer heat can be dangerous. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we come together in solidarity, compassion, and action. The shop is a place to do exactly that — to choose love, and to turn that choice into real, life-saving impact. It’s a space where every purchase helps make the world a better place for refugees this summer.”
