gotta be a high level of self-confidence when a band makes their name almost un-googleable. !!! or Chk Chk Chk (an onomatopoeic word to make things easier) have weathered the mid-00’s post-punk/dance vibe where they arrived with the impeccable ‘Me & Giuilani Down by the School Yard’ and continue to bathe our ears in Californian post punk/funk/disco/electronic vibes nearly twenty years on after originally forming.

Their latest album, As If, is due out 16th October on Warp Records, and contains the new tracks ‘OOO and Bam City’. If you’re wondering, you’ll find them in the aisle marked serious grooves. You won’t miss it, it’s flanked by two drummers. Yes, their live shows are amazing, and if you haven’t even heard or seen them before, their sheer energy will blow you away. Tight percussion, slinky bass, improvised jams and Nic Offer’s unique vocals and dancing will keep you thoroughly entertained.
