The CHIK’N team is spreading its wings and opening a second site in Soho. As well as three Chick ‘n’ Sours restaurants and the original CHIK’N on Baker Street, Carl Clarke and Dave Wolanksi are expanding their spin-off brand, aiming to create ‘fast food not rushed food’. If you’ve been on Wardour Street recently you’ve probably even noticed the CHIK’N branded hoardings which have gone up on what was previously a Brgr Co.
One of Carl’s goals is to create “the best fried chicken sandwich in the fucking world”, so the team is refining the Straight Up (chicken, lettuce, pickles and buttermilk & herb mayo) as well as adding a new sandwich, the CHIK’N Chop with samurai sauce, to the menu. There’s also the Cali Hot Chik (with guac, chipotle mayo, cheese and spicy shake) and the Gangnam Style (with Korean glaze, cheese, kimchi and sriracha sour cream) plus sides like Korean fries, Gunpowder fries and bang bang cucumbers already on offer in Marylebone. Sounds cluckin’ great to us.
