You’ve heard of Money Heist, but what about Chicken Heist? Slightly less thrilling but much tastier, it’s a new guest chef collab series from the Chick ‘n’ Sours crew including a one-off takeover at Chick ‘n’ Sours Seven Dials, a meal kit based on the menu available nationwide, and a special chicken sandwich going on the menu at both Chick ‘n’ Sours sites. It’s all kicking off with Jane Alty of Peckham fave The Begging Bowl, who’ll be cooking up the Bbowl Fried Chicken Sandwich (fried thigh topped with kewpie mayo, tamarind sesame glaze & green papaya salad); popcorn chicken with crispy Thai garlic, red turmeric & sour chilli sauce; Disco Wings with three-flavoured sauce & roasted rice; pomelo, blood orange, radicchio & cashew nut salad; larb spice dusted fries; and green mango, lychee, pear, pandan syrup & lemongrass granita.
It’s £45 per person for the menu, including a Makrut Sour (Makrut lime leaf-infused gin, lemongrass liqueur, syrup, egg white & bitters) and £1 from each ticket will be donated to For Life Thailand, a charity that works with disabled children in Thailand to provide support and care. If you can’t make the takeover, you can order the Chicken Heist meal kit from 1st February and get the Bbowl Fried Chicken Sandwich from 7th February – 6th March.
