CHERISH FINDEN IS OPENING SINGAPOREAN-INSPIRED PATISSERIE SHIOK!

Pastry chef Cherish Finden, who heads up pastry at Pan Pacific London and is one of the judges on Bake Off: The Professionals, is opening a standalone Singaporean-inspired patisserie, complete with interiors by Tom Dixon, this June. SHIOK!, opening in Devonshire House, the 146-year-old building next to Pan Pacific London, will feature cake counters filled with sweet treats created by Cherish that take influence from her childhood in Singapore.

There’ll be petit gateaux like lemon & raspberry compote handbags, chocolate teapots, and kopi tarik with edible spoons and cups alongside pineapple tarts, cookies in a tin, and coconut & gula malaka and matcha & yuzu chocolate bon bons. The drinks menu will range from juices and bubble tea to wines and champagne for when you’re feeling really fancy. SHIOK! will also be serving breakfast, so you’ll be able to start your day with coffee, pandan and summer berry polo buns; sausage shokupan, Cherish’s take on a sausage roll; pork floss buns; and classic croissants and Viennoiserie.

Opens Thurs 16th June 2022
