CHEF’S TABLE AT ISSHO-NI

Issho-Ni, the Japanese restaurant and bar on Bethnal Green Road, is switching things up for one night this month with a special chef’s table evening. Head Chef Eduardo Aguiar (ex-Bone Daddies, Shakfuyu and Kiri) will be dropping the usual menu and serving up eight unique courses straight from the kitchen to diners sat around the kitchen bar instead. And with just eight diners at a time, it’s a great chance to get up close and personal to the cooking.

The tasting menu, only revealed on the night, will showcase Eduardo’s experimental take on Japanese food using top quality ingredients. Previous chef’s table experiences have included dishes like scallop sashimi with smoked soy and lime, fresh summer truffle with butterfish and chive oil, and soba flan with roasted peach and peach granita. There’ll be two sittings on the night, with tickets costing £75, or £95 with sake pairing.
