Jumi is a cheese shop that started down in Borough Market and then set up a very nice shop on Newington Green at the end of 2018. As well as having a great selection of Swiss cheeses to buy and take home, it’s the regular ‘Cheesy Nights’ that really caught our eye when we popped in there recently.
Taking place every Tuesday and Thursday this is the stuff that cheese-induced dreams are made of. For starters there’s a choice of a cheese platter, a charcuterie board, or a fruit salad. Then there’s the main event, a big pot of oozy melted Raclette served with baked potatoes, Zopf (Swiss bread), and crudités. On the booze front, there’s a selection of natural wines by the bottle or glass.
