For most of us, 2020 has been defined by the time we’ve have to spend apart from our friends and fam. Although we’ve not been able to be with each other physically, through the wonders of technology we have been able to connect and be together. And that’s what Yeni Rakı is celebrating with its brand new bottle artwork and hand-painted mural in Camden.
Yeni Rakı, the world’s number one Rakı brand, has been going since 1937 (with the tradition of serving spirits made from distilled grapes and aniseed with meze dishes going back centuries), so it’s about time the bottle had a little refresh. The new artwork draws on that rich heritage as well as emphasising the importance of connection with two adjoining rakı glasses cheering “to togetherness”.
Yeni Rakı is also celebrating togetherness with a brand new mural on Camden High Street. Painted by street artist ONUR, the mural featuring a rakı table, the Bosphorus and an open laptop even glows in the dark as it’s been created with UV paint. There’s also a QR code on the mural that links through to an AR experience where you can immerse yourself in the world of Yeni Rakı and order it online via Grocina.
