CHECKING IN | LA CLEF CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES PARIS

It’s not often you get to stay in the former residence of the Hennessy family but now that La Clef Champs-Élysées, built in 1907, is part of the Ascott Limited hotel group, that’s exactly what you can do. And located just minutes away from the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, you couldn’t ask for a better spot.

La Clef Champs-Élysées has 70 rooms and two duplex one-bedroom apartments that have terraces with views of the Eiffel Tower. Our room was a beautiful spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchen (you’ll want to be making toast from the bread basket they send up for breakfast) , marble bathroom with huge walk-in shower and L’Occitane products, and amazing features like the moulded detailing on the wall above the king size bed. And there’s the view of Parisian rooftops and a very familiar tower from the opened double doors.

The hotel is awaiting the opening of its high-end Chinese restaurant (currently having the finishing touches done to it) and there are also plans to offer brunch in their outside space, a little courtyard that gets the sun, and from what we could see from our room, it sounds ideal. The hotel also a perfume bar – it has its own scent don’t you know – where you can see all the ingredients on display and take in the smell. The staircase is pretty special and dramatic too and for those who actually unpack their gym kit, they can put it to use in their fitness room.

We found the staff at La Clef Champs-Élysées to be seriously helpful, giving us their recommendations for near by places to check out for food and drinks. The location is perfect and extremely secure for anyone worried about the recent riots, so if you want to make your next Paris trip extra special, a stay at the 5-star hotel La Clef Champs-Élysées will do the trick, oui oui.
