English winemaker Chapel Down, which has vineyards across Kent, has arrived in London with a gin bar, restaurant and distillery right on the canal in King’s Cross. They’re best known for their English wines but Chapel Down is also in the spirits game, having produced a chardonnay vodka and a Bacchus gin, with the latter the focus of this new venue.
All the Chapel Down wines and beer are available at the bar in the gin works, with tastings, chances to make you own gin and more ‘experimental elements’ still to come. There’s also a restaurant (not yet open) inside, which’ll be serving up seasonal British food, with more space being added outside, including al fresco seating and bar overlooking the canal…you can bet these will become very popular once warmer weather rolls around.
